Project description

www.onlinegrinds.ie offers live and interactive lessons to Irish Leaving and Junior certificate students. 

Sulware was first approached to work on www.onlinegrinds.ie back in 2011. 

This is a very ambitious project targetting a user base of 60,000 students.  From a technical perspective a complex member ship system  and teacher / timetable management system needed to be built to allow the staff to easily setup and manage online video live video lessons.  State of the art video streaming servers were built and configured allowing for thousands of concurrent users.  The site is currently on it's third incarnation and is about to be upgraded to incorporate the latest responsive and mobile designs.

The site is in it's second year of production.

November 2014 Update

Unfortunately OnlineGrinds shut down this week. We still see it as being one of our most ambitious and best projects to date, but alas the business failed to succeed and finally closed it's doors.  Click here to read all about the rise and fall of OnlineGrinds in Brendan's blog entry.
